Join us on Friday, August 14th to celebrate the release of The House on Center Street, a new novel by Laura Valentino!

Laura’s debut novel is inspired by her book-loving daughter, real places and histories in Geneseo like Wadsworth Library and Center Street, and the idea that the books we love can connect us across time.

When Laura started dropping hints about the fact that she was working on writing a book, Joanna started paying attention and one day at their daughters' overlapping piano lessons, she leaned into the passenger side window of Laura's car and asked “…are you writing a book?” Laura very bashfully admitted that she was and that no one else knew about it! The next day, Laura then (also bashfully) asked Joanna to help with the cover design, which was an immediate yes for Joanna.

At this event, we’ll have copies of the book available for purchase, the author in attendance to chat about the new novel (and perhaps sign copies!) and some light snacks and refreshments. Hope to see you there! :)
